Fundraising for a Great Cause

Cancer sucks. If you’re walking on this planet with the rest of us, you or someone you know has been affected by this disgusting disease at some point in their life.

When I was just 9 years old, my mom lost her battle with breast cancer. She was only 42 years young and her life ended way too soon. Just this past July my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. It kills me to know his quality of life isn’t what it’s supposed to be right now because of this thing we call cancer. I would do anything I could to make it go away and never return.

CUT has had the privilege of doing many fundraisers to help aid in finding a cure for cancer. In the past we’ve done about three charity events for breast cancer, but this time we’re walking along side of my dad and are going to kick lung cancer in the butt, and we’re doing it differently than we have in the past.

We have AMAZINGLY talented artists in our life who want to partner with us in this event, so ready on and find out what CUT is doing.

For the entire month of February, we have over 20 artists contributing their brilliant work [on 8x8inch hearts] to be auctioned off in a silent auction. You can place bids online only. These bids are not retractable as ALL proceeds go DIRECTLY to a lung cancer research and support center called LUNGgevity. So make sure to place a bid you feel comfortable donating. At the end of the month each piece of [HEART] art will go to the person who bid the highest donation. Some of our own designers will even have some art up for sale, make sure you check it out. You can also drop into the studio and check out the artwork face to face as it will be displayed around the shop for the whole month. We will be releasing the website on our Facebook and Instagram for optimal bidding when it’s completed – please share this with your friends!

CUT is also giving $1 for EVERY service for the ENTIRE month of February. For example, if we provide 40 haircuts in one day, we give $40. So the more services you receive, the more we give. We will also have some other fun things at the studio [probably from the Fudge Shoppe]: if you donate ANY amount in our little jar, you’re automatically entered to win the things we’re raffling off.
